The Socceroos have arrived in Tashkent ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan this Thursday morning (Australian time).
While buoyed by their win against the Netherlands on Sunday morning, Harry Kewell said the team will not be taking anything for granted.
''It will be good to get off to a good start but the Uzbekistan team will have the same kind of plan,'' Kewell said.
''We are going to go out there and show the rest world what we’re capable of doing,'' said Kewell who scored from the penalty spot against the Dutch on Sunday.
Uzbekistan played their first match in the qualifying round on Sunday against Qatar in Doha and were defeated 3-0.
In a blow for the Socceroos, Vince Grella has been ruled out of the Uzbekistan match because of a calf injury.
Grella was unable to take part in Australia's 2-1 victory over Holland due to the training ground mishap.
Coach Pim Verbeek said that it was in Grella's best interests, as well as his club and Australia's, not to travel across Europe and return for a match in which he will not be ready to play.
Grella will return to his English Premier League club, Blackburn, for continuing treatment.
In the other group match, Japan defeated Bahrain 2-3 in Bahrain, with Qatar and Japan at the top of the group.
Australia needs to finish in the top two of its group to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup at the completion of this round in June 2009.
The match will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 3 from 1.30am on Thursday.
The Socceroos play their first home game of the series when they meet joint group leaders Qatar in Brisbane on October 15.
