WHEN she is not poring over books studying for her physical education degree, Amy Garcia makes time for her other passion fashion.
The university student from Roselands was spotted roaming the trendy scene in a Hurstville arcade when Fashionista picked her from the crowd.
Hoping to find her next winter wardrobe item, Amy, 19, took to the street stage to strut her stuff for the camera.
Wearing black leggings with a black and white collared shirt dress and calf-length leather boots, her look was one envied by many.
``I mainly go for the vintage image, so I regularly check out op-shops,'' Amy said. ``So I love Nicole Ritchie's style because she manages to really look great in those baggy, yet trendy, type of clothes.''
As a hobby, Amy buys recycled second-hand items, alters them to her own style, and re-sells them on Ebay.
Usually found wearing classic and simple black, Nudie or Sass and Bide jeans, or boho dresses, Amy chooses comfort over glamour.
``I particularly like flat boots that are comfortable for getting to and from uni and going shopping,'' Amy said.
Amy's classic look comes with a twist.
The only jewellery she sported was a recently pierced ... wrist.
``I love piercings, but I have to be careful with this one because I sometimes get it caught on things,'' she said.
