POLICE want to speak to this man (pictured left) in relation to tampering with ATMs at Sutherland during the past two months.
NSW Police Fraud Squad investigators believe several people could have been involved in the scam where facades are placed over machines and data is captured.
Detective Superintendent Colin Dyson said the offenders used sophisticated equipment to scan the card and a hidden camera recorded the pin number. The details are put onto a blank card which is used to withdraw money from the victim's account.
Police believe that a man who has been caught on video footage could help them with inquiries. He is described as Asian in appearance, 45-55 years, about 173-centimetres tall and of medium build. The man was wearing a dark jacket with a postal logo on it and driving a maroon Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD.
Details: Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
