LOOKING for something different to do in the July school holidays?
How about enrolling in the School of Transmogrification?
With the help of Hustville and Kogarah councils, a magicial pair Lizabell and Manik are looking for children, 6-9, who might be interested in becoming magician's apprentices.
From simple slight of hand illusions to complex disappearing objects, Manik will not only teach the tricks, but the ``magic'' behind the delivery of the trick while, listen closely, Lizabell reveals the secret to real magic.
Level One (beginners) workshops will be held at:
Oatley Library: Tuesday, July 8, at 11.30am-1pm.
South Hurstville Library: Tuesday, July 8, at 2.30pm-4pm
Kogarah Library: Monday July 14, at 11.30am-12.30pm and 2.30pm-3.30pm
Finally, Manik will be presenting his own magic show at 2pm on Friday, July 18, at Kogarah Library. The classes and Manik's Magic Show are free although magic tool kits will cost $20. The school also runs classes for higher levels of junior magician's apprentices.
