UNIVERSITY of Western Sydney staff and students have created a DVD to assist migrants and refugees to adapt to life in the ``lucky country''.
Professor Margaret Vickers from UWS Centre for Educational Research said transition to adulthood was difficult for those whose education had been interrupted in their home country.
Ms Vickers said the DVD helped young people as they moved from high school to vocational training, higher education, or employment.
``Life in Australia has a wealth of opportunities; however, without a high school-level education or proficiency with the English language, these opportunities can be inaccessible,'' Professor Vickers said.
The DVD is entitled Sudanese Youth in Transition. Details: (02)46203148.
