LAST week, Fashionista ventured into Sylvania on a miserable, rainy day to find a ray of sunshine hidden among the crowd of suburban shoppers.
We struck gold when a trendy father and daughter were strutting the streets in their fashionable threads.
This week, James White, 48, was keen to step up to the parade plate after his daughter featured in the Leader's previous fashion page.
Fresh from a holiday in the US, James had come back with several new outfits that were yet to make an appearance.
``I just bought a three-piece pinstripe suit, it's great quality and has really clean lines,'' he said.
James said Armani suits and Dolce&Gabbana were favourite labels.
Decked out in a long-sleeved sweater from Country Road and dark denim jeans from Jeans West, James combined simple comfort with stylish masculinity.
His chocolate slip-on leather shoes with white stitching were a standout item.
``I actually loved them so much, I bought seven pairs in different colours,'' he said.
James said he was impressed with the standard of Aussie fashion.
``I think male fashion in Australia is getting better. You still have the street, upmarket thing going on, but it's definitely improving,'' he said.
