Sun, surf, food and wine- all that jazz

23/05/2008 4:12:00 PM
ONE of Australia's best loved jazz divas, Grace Knight, will be a highlight of Cronulla's annual food and wine festival, Jazz and Shiraz, this weekend, May 24 and 25.

The festival provides the perfect way to enjoy a crisp autumn day with some great wine, food and music.

Wineries from the Hunter, Mudgee and Margaret River regions will be on hand with their best bottles.

Good wine needs good food and there certainly will be a lot of that when gourmet food providers set up their stalls and the nearby restaurants dish up their best.

Flavours from around the globe will be available including Himalayan, Turkish, Greek, Spanish, Singaporean, Thai, Brazilian, German and Peruvian.

While the focus is on wine, sparkling bubbles and frozen cocktails, the lager lovers have not been forgotten. There will be a selection of boutique beers from the renowned Byron Bay Brewery and from the Outback Brewery at Loftus.

Now in its seventh year, Jazz and Shiraz has grown in popularity and size, offering more choices in food and wine. The event will be held 11am to 5pm on both days and the entertainment is free.
