LAST week Sutherland used their get-out-of-jail card to share the points in the NSW Premier League football competition.
On Saturday at Campbelltown they couldn't stop Macarthur Rams from scoring an 88th minute equaliser.
Still, Sutherland Sharks are five points on top of the ladder, with some home games to come, including Saturday night's game against Bankstown, followed by their exhibition game against Sydney FC next Thursday, July 3.
Macarthur were outplayed for most of the night with in-form Sutho players Brendan Gan, Nick Stavroulakis and Predrag Bojic in the thick of it.
But it took until midway through the second half before Sutherland scored. And what a goal.
In the 67th minute the ball went wide through Bojic onto Stavroulakis, and from 25-metres out his right-foot thunderbolt found the net. In the 80th minute Sutherland could have scored a second when Jim Bakis found himself one-on-one with Brody Crane.
However, the Rams' goalkeeper cleaned up before Bakis could get a touch on the ball.
Despite the consistent football played by the Sharks, in the 88th minute Macarthur received a free-kick and Matt Toogood provided the perfect ball for a David Gardiner header to level the score at 1-1.
Macarthur could have snuck in a surprising late winner when a sensational cross from Craig Cooley found Michael Brown lurking on the left side of goal trying to attempt a volley, however the shot drifted wide of goal.
And the teams shared the points.
