Gasnier may not be good to go for Origin

23/06/2008 5:30:00 PM
ST GEORGE Illawarra centre Mark Gasnier is in doubt for next Wednesday's State of Origin clash.

After he underwent scans on his back today the St George Illawarra club advised the NSW Rugby League that Gasnier would be unavailable for selection in the decider.

The injury would have ruled Gasnier out of this weekend's clash with Gold Coast regardless of Origin selection.

The decision on whether or not Gasnier plays is now up to the NSW selectors in consultation with Origin doctor Hugh Hazard.

Find out the extent of Cronulla's injury woes in Tuesday's Leader.
